I am not the most savvy-tech user. I know how to blog and play with pictures in Adobe and surf the Internet, but when people started mentioning using Flash and animations and things, I started to freak out a little. I am just an English major. I know how to write.
So, I decided to write. Inspired by the recent Internet phenomenon, the LOL cats, I decided to do the Emo Animals. I found pictures from the website openphoto.net, and using a photo editor, I added captions to each animal. It wasn’t very complicated, but I feel really proud of the project. I had been afraid my project would pale in comparison to everyone else’s, but I actually really like what I have done.
Because my free website didn’t have enough room to hold all the photo data, I posted all the pictures into the blog for our class. All the attributions are also on that site.
“Don’t label me. I’m not a soup can.” Emo Animals attempts to offer a glimpse into the pain of animals and their unnoticed, tortured, black hearts. It is an effort to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Don’t let these sad animals continue to cry on their own. See their pain. Feel their pain. Know their pain.
The Emo Animals.
